I provide compensation and pension examinations to veterans who have filed a claim with the VA. These examinations are completed in order to determine whether a veteran has a psychological disorder that was caused or aggravated by his or her military service. The VA has contracted with multiple agencies in order to have these exams scheduled and completed with psychologists outside of the VA system. I am a contracted provider with three of these agencies, including:
LHI QTC VES
During your appointment, we will discuss in detail what symptoms you are currently experiencing, when they started, and how they are impacting your personal and professional life. We will also talk about any mental health treatment you are receiving, or have received in the past. Finally, we will go over general background information.
Once your interview is over, I will review your records that are made available to me through the VA, and then write a report integrating my findings with information from your records. I complete and submit your report to the requesting organization (i.e., LHI, QTC, or VES) within 24 hours. They then review it and pass it along to the VA.
Unfortunately, due to restrictions placed on me by the contracts that I have with these companies, I am not allowed to release copies of the report that I write. However, the report will become part of your medical record, and you are entitled to request a copy from the VA.
I am not responsible for scheduling or rescheduling the examinations. If you need to reschedule, you can contact the company that scheduled you and they will get you rescheduled for a different appointment time.
I am happy to discuss any questions or concerns you might have leading up to the evaluation. You can give me a call me at 678-203-4499, or you can send me a message through the form on the Contact page.
